What The...? play rock'n'roll. In case you've forgotten what that's all about (or never knew), maybe you need to give them a listen. Raucous guitars, thundering drums, passionate voices singing in close harmony. Songs of love lost, of innocence found, of not quite fitting in. This is a band that has fun and their enthusiasm and irreverence are contagious. | ![]() |

Based in Atlanta, Georgia in the southeastern USA, What
The...? is rooted firmly in the British Invasion-style rock and power pop
of the 1960's. You might hear obscure gems by the Who,
Yardbirds, Beatles, Hollies, or Nick Lowe alongside their strong catalog of
original material. This band simply loves to play
together, and they are equally at home doing a 45 minute
blowout at an intown showcase club, playing all night long at a pub or
party, or even stripping it down and going "semi-unplugged" in a
coffeehouse. And when not playing live, the members of
What The...? can usually be found writing and recording new material, as
you can hear right here.
As bassist and lead vocalist Lyle Bufkin says, "We'll play just about anywhere that will have us. So if you know of a place where we can be had, let us know!"
